Love is no Mystery
Though the poets do tell
Of seekers who search
Through the Heavens and Hell
To find hidden meanings
To the feelings they’ve grown
And why they’d rather not live
Than be living alone
And wars have been fought
And books have been read
And the Mystery lives
And we take it to bed
And there are those who would say,
"We should not know all
We can save you the trip
We can save you the fall"
And the Mystery grows
Like a bottomless pit
Making room for the liars
That contribute to it
So many have died
Or grown old and apart
Never knowing the cause
Of that hole in their heart
And time will not heal
A love that’s been lost
The face tells the story
The soul knows the cost

But TRUTH is so basic
It somehow defies
So we make it complex
And we settle for lies
And Love is no Mystery
Though the poets do tell
Of seekers who search
Through the Heavens and Hell
To find hidden meanings
To the feelings they’ve grown
Why they’d rather not live
Than be living alone
But love is not hiding
In some Mystical place
Love is just wanting
To share
The same space!
