Around 1998 I decided to write a musical. I was disturbed by how the world seemed to be going down hill at an alarming rate. So I did some research.
That research lead to a script and a double CD. (Click here for more).

What I found out was alarming. Especially since the world was going down hill with very little protest. In fact, most people seemed to be marching in step to what the "experts" were telling them to do.

When people read the script there were many reactions. Jaws dropped. People agreed, disagreed, fought, yelled, and then went back to believing the "experts". There was a need for me to put what I found out into a form that was digestable for the man-in-the-street. Very few people were going to read all those big books I had to read for the research. So I started a blog and put my findings, thoughts, ideas and quotes in a form that was - hopefully - enjoyable to read.

News From Meat Street is the book that grew out of that blog. So now you can find out what I did without all the hassles. It should be a fun read. (Considering the subject matter, this was no easy task). I think that after you're done you might agree:
THE EMPEROR IS BUTT NAKED!

Some “revelations” covered inside are:
• How mental illnesses are “discovered”
• Just how crazy are the people who tell us we're crazy
• Why there is an epidemic of mental illness sweeping the world
• The New Psychiatry
• How disobeying your doctor is a mental disease
• The Federal government's plans to screen every man, woman and child for mental illness

So, as electroconvulsive therapy comes into vogue once more, sit back, enjoy the book, and— prepare to be shocked

"As an ex health care worker who worked with the mentally ill for a time I have to agree with the author. ... I also like the humour injected into this very serious subject it does indeed make the book more readable. I recommend it to anyone who has even a small conscience on this subject it is an eye opener and I guarantee it will shock you."
— Anne Rogers, author
"If creativity and the ability to entertain, enlighten, amuse and delight were all that were needed for fame and huge fortunes, Neal Fox would be making Bill Gates look poor.
The world needs his creations! Enjoy his book and then his amazing music!"
— Diane Klein, author,
IN THE NAME OF HELP, a novel
"Don't read this book unless you're prepared to be a little shocked, angered and perhaps betrayed. But don't worry, the author takes the sting out of the truth by using lots of humor, comic relief, satire and laugh-out-loud illustrations....This book will really get your juices flowing, especially if you've ever had the inkling that something wasn't quite right. From there, you might even start asking yourself, ' What can I do about all this?'"
